For as long as Alice can remember, she has dreamed of Max. Together they have traveled the world and fallen deliriously, hopelessly in love. Max is the boy of her dreams—and only her dreams. Because he doesn’t exist. But when Alice walks into class on her first day at a new school, there he is. It turns out, though, that Real Max is nothing like Dream Max, and getting to know each other in reality isn’t as perfect as Alice always hoped When their dreams start to bleed dangerously into their. waking hours, the pair realize that they might have to put an end to a lifetime of dreaming about each other. But when you fall in love in your dreams, can reality ever be enough?

I got this book via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review. None of my thoughts are altered by this.

I think it is really safe to say that I really loved Dreamology. Lately, it's been a real struggle for me to read but guys, I was able to finish Dreamology in one day. Yeah, less than 24 hours and I was done with this book, which is pretty amazing for me because usually it takes me a whole week now. The thing that really attracted me to Dreamology was how interesting it sounded. The fact that Alice's boy of her dreams (literally), who she thought only existed in her dreams suddenly shows up at her new school was just something I wanted to read. Another thing I really loved about this book was that it was really funny. There were moments that I had laughed out loud and I really loved Alice's witty personality. If you're looking for a funny contemporary with some cute romance, definitely check out Dreamology because you may just like it as much as I did!

I knew the characters in this book were going to be pretty interesting based on the synopsis. Especially because it had mentioned that Max in real life was a lot different compared to Max in Alice's dreams and I definitely think that is pretty true. It was really awesome to get to know real life Max though because there were definitely some interesting parts to him. In the end, I think he is a pretty awesome character and what I especially like is that he takes care of himself and the other people that he loves. I feel like I have constantly encountered characters who never care for himself and make their health and education their first priority. I really liked how Max put himself first in situations that involved his well-being and I really appreciate Amy including that in his personality because that quality lacks in YA characters.

As for Alice, she was an interesting main character and I love how she grew a bit within this book. The fact that Max was a real person definitely affected her, seeing as though Max was her one escape, the one constant thing of her life. It was nice getting to read about her story though. Her experiences with Dream Max, how she handles meeting Real Max, and also her witty personality really made reading this book enjoyable and gave it some lightness.

I love this plot so much because IT SOUNDS AND IS SO INTERESTING. It's that kind of book where you pick it up off the shelf because the cover is beautiful, turn over to see what it's about, then complete be intrigued because the synopsis of the plot leaves you thinking

I think another thing that really contributed to my loving of this book was not only the plot and characters and humor but also the pacing. I honestly didn't think this book got too slow or too fast paced at times and that is really what kept me turning those pages and not being able to put this book down. There was also the dream aspect and how no one really knew why Max was real. That was something I really wanted to know more about and that kept me reading as well.

The few things that I wished could be more included more into this book? More parts on the other minor characters in this book and also to know more about how Max is real in the world and also Alice's dreams. The reason why Max exists within Alice's dreams was explained but I wanted to know more than the single statement that was made. I want to know more about how it happened and the science behind it. Then the minor characters. I really liked Alice and Max's friends that were a part of this book but I really wish I got to know just a bit more about them. They seemed like really interesting characters and made this book just a bit better.

I gave this book a 4.5 star rating because I really enjoyed all of this book -it's characters, plot, writing, humor, ect ect- but really wish there was more to certain parts of the story.
